Rabbi Weinstein arrived at the shores of the Unites States at the young age of 9 on the boat, The Haven. Having just lost his father in Auschwitz, he and 5 of his 9 siblings were of 1000 refugees which America let in to the country. While in the Oswego refugee camp, he continued his Jewish studies, eventually receiving Rabbinic ordination by the famed Rabbi Yisroel Yitzchak Piekarski, student of Chachmei Lublin. Inspired by the calling of his mentor, the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Weinstein became a Jewish educator, educating thousands of Jewish youth in his over 30 years in Jewish education. After founding the Rockland Hebrew Educational Center, he has inspired and touched the hearts and souls of hundreds of Jews in the Rockland community.
